Welcome to the City of Rochester/Monroe County 911 Center Web Site. As Director I am pleased to manage such a successful 911 operation. The Center began operations in February 1986 as a way to consolidate dispatch services in Monroe County. Since then the Center has grown to serve 78 different police, fire and EMS agencies. The Center has been immensely successful in its efforts.

To the credit of the hard working staff of the 911 Center, we are certified by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies. We are also a Center of Excellence for our success with our Emergency Medical Dispatch Program. This past year the Monroe-Livingston Regional EMS Council recognized the center as the 1999 EMS Agency of the Year for its work in the EMS field.

The Center handles 1.2 million calls each year with 178 highly dedicated professionals. The skill of our employees and the extensive training programs we follow are among some of the most rigorous in the country. We pride ourselves on our high expectations of our employees.
