Fire Dispatch

The Fire Dispatcher is assigned the task of dispatching and tracking the Fire and Ambulance agencies for Monroe County. In addition, they are the administrative radio arm of the firefighter, available to call back citizens to gather more information relating to a 911 call.

Fire Dispatchers can also serve as telecommunicators when needed. Calls are assigned to the county fire departments based on what town, village or part of the City the incident is in.

Rochester Fire Department

The City of Rochester Fire Department is the primary agency providing fire suppression services within the City. There are 16 Fire Stations in the city to serve you.

The City Fire Department also provides extrication services (for people trapped in vehicles, etc.) and smoke detector installation to city residents.
