EMS Dispatch
The EMS dispatcher is responsible for sending out and keeping track of all ambulances in the County and for forwarding City ambulance requests to the City contract ambulance.

In addition, they are the administrative radio arm of the EMS personnel, available to call back citizens to gather more information relating to a 911 call.

Currently the City of Rochester contracts their emergency medical services to Rural Metro. If you live in the city and call 9-1-1 for an ambulance, Rural Metro will respond to your request
unless you specifically request another service.
